fragments of me in the office.
I had hoped to take photos everyday, but I always forgot.
After all, I hate the office, I hate to work for the ignorant people,

unfortunately, there are a lot of this kind of people. Wed 13-Aug-2003 15:48

The man in black is a member of the Animalsasia, his name is Boris, I interviewed him on a sunny Monday in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China in July, because there is putting up a centre to rescue some bears from human and Boris is with responsibility for the construction now.

Boris was born in HongKang, after he had his education in London, he went to the U.S and became a manager of a autocycle company.
On his vacation back to HongKong, he got to kown MIss.Luo who is the head of the Animalsasia. First, he was just a interpreter at all, Miss Luo is an American, she knew nothing about Chinese, but after a period of time Boris became interested in this work, so he didn't back to U.S when his vacation is over.

Journey to Tibet- Fragments

the sky of Tibet
cow shit on the stone wall
kids in the window
View all 5 photos...
The first photo I shot was the sky of Tibet, because I was excited at the pure blue that I had never seen before.
The city I live in is in southwest of China that I have got used to the dark sky and black clouds.
But Tibet is just like another world, when we drove through the wilderness in the sunshine, met the unsophisticated Tibetian and finally stood in the Potala Palace, I believed the words said by the travellers: Tibet is the place that the God live.
So I shot the sky on the first day in my room in the hotel in spite of the bad headache which was the heavy feedback when man first got to the altiplano.

Cow shit is one of the most important fuel sources for the Tibetian.
But why? You may wonder, beause of the high altitude, the bad weather and the lack of fuel. There is nothing but rough rock in the most of the area on the altiplano.

The houses of Tibetian are colorful and beautiful.
All the Tibetian are the inbred singer with beautiful voices.
The women and the children looked at me surprisedly, but when I took pictures for them they would give me the friendly smile at once.

Thank you so much for the photos on Tibet! I'm showing them to my father as he is planning a trip to Tibet and the Silk Road in the near future. Thanks! Thu 16-Oct-2003 08:26

Journey to Tibet- In Lahsa

the Potala Palace
up to the Potala Palace
at the top of palace
View all 4 photos...
Lahsa is the capital city in Tibet.
I was really disappointed at the first glance when I got there. In fact, I have no interest in cities which can only produce high buildings and large mansions, all they are the same: full of people, full of rubbish.
It is true that Lahsa is modern, but the charming sagas and legends are the reason we travelled there.

The Potala Palace was not far from our hotel, I can even saw it through my window. The walls of deep red was always mysterious to me, so we made up our minds to look around there in the last day.
We got up early in the morning to see the Tibetian pay their worship in the DaZhao temple(湮桻侁). All of the Tibetian were religious and devotional, some of them came to Lahsa every year by feet, I just could not imagine it!
I was also surprised at the grandness of Potala Palace, and , in other words, the power of religion.

Now I sit in my room again, and everthing looks unchanged, but I know it is not the same any more.

Hey Moko,

Don't apologise for your English. I have understood everything you have writte. Small mistakes do not hide the sense.

Journey to Tibet- The lake of love

View all 4 photos...
Look at the jokul, it is the seventh peak in the world which is called as "the beauty peak" by the Tibetian. The mountians lie there quietly with the lake of love.
ㄗ藝躓瑕撈岍賜菴ほ瑕 &嗣①綬)

We met the herdsmen again on our way back to Ri KaZe(?梲耒?) in the morning. The grassland became golden in the sunshine. There were only men and children in the nomad, where were the women? I puzzled.

(蔬谻)JiangZi is a county which is regarded as the mainly foodsupllies in Tibet.
There was a festivel on the day(22th.July) when we reached there.
Men and women all put their most beautiful clothes and dresses on, then rid the horse to party to celebrate.

The Zongshan Fort is one of the relic of the Tibetian resisted the invasion of England many years ago.
And the beautiful mountains in JiangZi became a famous scene in the film "red valley" that recounted the history of the brave Tibetian.

Journey to Tibet- On the Bunderies

Here, we got to YaDong county, an impotant place in military, because it borders not only on Sikkim(which is belong to India) but also on Bhutan and Nepal.

I could't believe it when I stood on the bunderies of China and India.
Indian sodiers were there, smiled to me, shook hands with me and talked to me.
What a pleasure !
Though we have different color of skins, and there is the different time between us, the hope of peace may be the same in our hearts.
Nobody wants to bled or even be killed in the battle.

I enjoyed in this day, 'cause I can breathe the peace.
